The maintainer of aromax.hu informs visitors of the website (from now: Website) about the practice followed in handling personal data, the technical and organizational steps taken in regards to the protection of that data, as well as of their rights regarding this, and the possibilities for exercising them.

Maintainer of the data is Aromax Zrt. (from now: Operator) (based: 1031 Budapest, Záhony u. 7.)

If Operator asks for personal data for use for any purpose from the visitor of the Website (from now: User), the below regulations take effect.

This data protection statement contains the general information on handling, processing, and registry of any personal data given by the User when visiting the Operator’s Website. Should any questions arise regarding the handling of your personal data, please contact our customer service before using the Website.

The data protection statement may be modified at any time, and the User is liable to check the Website from time to time, to make sure that they are up to date regarding changes to the statement. The Data Protection Statement took effect on 1. March 2010. The Operator is responsible for handling the personal data provided on the Website.

Data request

To use the Website the User generally does not have to give out any data; however, they can still be required to do so in order to use certain services, in which case the User is requested to give specific personal data for the Operator’s use.

Depending on the service, the Operator may ask for following personal data:

  • name and accessibilities, including email address, address, as well as data of their company;
  • data regarding personal and professional interests;
  • demographic data;
  • feedback about our products, and preferences for contacting the User, for the purpose of reaching the User with additional information about our products and services.

1. Scope of handled data

Upon visiting the Website, the beginning and ending time of the User’s visits will be automatically recorded, and, in some cases – depending on the settings of the User’s computer – the type of browser and operating system. From these data, the system automatically generates statistics. The Operator does not link the generated statistical data to any personal data. Upon logging in, the Website sends a session ID, which auotmatically gets deleted upon leaving the Website.

The handling of data provided for the use of the Website occurs in line with the voluntary acceptance of the User.

The Operator asks that "minors" should not make any legal - according to definitions of local laws - transactions (purchasing or any other transaction) without the permission of their parent or legal counsel.

2. The goals of data management

Data management is necessary to keep constant contact between the Website’s registered Users and the Operator, as well as for conducting surveys. Furthermore, the Operator exclusively uses and handles data with the goal of providing an ever higher level of service to the User, specifically in below fields:

  • to gather answers to the questions asked on the Website;
  • to be able to deliver the newsletter;
  • internal registry;
  • to develop the Website;
  • to announce developments of the Website;
  • to personalize contents of the Website;
  • to deliver publications ordered on the Website.

The Operator can contact the User via email, phone, fax or postal mail except, if one of these have been marked with preference by User.

The recording and saving of time of the visit, as well as types of browsers and operating systems are exclusively to serve statistical purposes.

The Operator does not use the data in any other form than as designated above. The handling of the data given by the User this way will be handled as voluntarily accepted by the User.

The Operator handles all data and facts regarding the Users confidentially, these are to be used exclusively to develop services, to market advertising space, and for proprietary research and statistical analysis. The results gained can only be published in a way in which individual Users cannot be identified.

Personal data cannot be forwarded by the Operator without the permission of the User, cannot further be published, sold, leased out, or made available to third parties, unless it is necessary based on the goals included in the Data Protection Statement or it is perscribed by law.

If the Operator wants to inform the User about products and opportunities that may be interesting to the User, he/she may do so via postal mail, phone, fax or email, if one of these has been selected in preferences.

When providing specific personal data, the User has the opportunity to choose not to allow the Operator to use them for direct marketing purposes. Should the User choose this option, the Operator will not contact the User for direct marketing purposes. In this case, we ask the User to get in contact with our company’s call center. If the User is a customer of the Operator, or has asked for information on products before, it may happen that the User gets an email with information on the newest assortment of products, unless the User has specifically asked the Operator not to send one.

If the User given personal data to get email notification of the Operator’s services, the Operator will continue to send emails, unless specifically asked by the User not to. In every other case when the User is giving out personal data to the Operator, the User has the option to choose whether he/she would like to receive such information via email.

3. Timeframe of data handling

The session IDs are auomatically deleted upon leaving the Website.

The Operator assumes no responsibility for previously deleted pages that are still accessible in an archived state enabled by internet search programs. These have to be removed by the operators of the search engine.

4. Circle of those with access to the data, data analysts

The data provided by Users are accessible only to staff of the Operator.

Personal data are not to be forwarded to any other third parties than those designated. This excludes data forwards prescribed by law, which can happen only in extraordinary cases. The Operator will examine before fulfilling any data request by officials whether the legal basis for data forwarding really exists.

5. The rights of the User regarding the handling of data, data removal

The legal basis of data handling is the voluntary acceptance of the Users.

Users can request information regarding the handling of their data. The Operator will, when asked, give information to the User about data handling, the goals thereof, the legal basis, the timeframe, the Operator’s name, address (based: 1031 Budapest, Záhony u. 7.) and regarding its activities connected to data handling, and furthermore about who and for what reason get access to the data. Information can be requested at the Operator’s postal address (based: 1031 Budapest, Záhony u. 7.), or at email address.

The same channel is open to inquiries regarding the correction or removal of User’s personal data.

If the Website is used in an inappropriate way, or the User requests it, the Operator will delete the data. Data will be deleted within one business day counted from the initiation of the request for removal.

The Operator takes personal data security very seriously. To hinder unjustified access to personal data, the Operator uses appropriate physical and electronical procedures with regards to the security of data received online.

6. Data security measures

The Operator stores personal data at Webshark Kft. (9700 Szombathely, Semmelweis Ignác u. 2. - Pelikán Palace Irodaház www.webshark.hu) servers, which are guarded by security personnel on site 24 hours a day, and are connected to the Hungarian internet backbone.

7. Opportunities for exercising rights

The User who feels that the Operator has violated his/her rights to personal data security, can enforce his/her claim in civil court, or can ask for the help of the data security official. The detailed laws regarding this, as well as the duties of the Operator, are contained in the 1992. Year LXIII. Bill regarding the protection of personal data, and the publication of data of public interest.

Upon constructing this data protection statement we have taken this bill and the 1998. year VI. Bill regarding the protection of individuals during automated processing of personal data – as the basis.

8. Information on threats to the private sector

With the use of the internet, different dangers towards the private sector arise.

Please note that your opinion published on the Website is personal data, from which your specific data may be deduced, including racial origin and political views. These data will become accessible to everyone.
